Tamaria Moore
Leased Housing
Eligibility Specialist (HCV)
Tamaria Moore brings a unique blend of administrative experience, community service, and a strong appreciation for structure and systems. Before joining RHA in September, Tamaria attended Hampton University, where she developed an interest in photography and website design. After graduation, she pursued freelance photography, specializing in weddings, which she loves for the diversity of people and the joy of capturing one of the happiest days in their lives. She also worked in online administrative roles for her church and a marketing company, promoting events and assisting with client registrations.
Tamaria discovered the job opportunity at RHA and was immediately drawn to the position for the opportunity to contribute to helping people in need of affordable housing. She values working within a well-defined system and enjoys being part of a team where she can help execute procedures efficiently and effectively.
Born in New Bern, NC, Tamaria hails from a family with six generations in the area, where Pepsi was first invented. She is the oldest of nine children, with her youngest sibling being just five years old. One of her future goals is to open an adult day center, where older adults can have a safe and engaging place to go.
Outside of work, Tamaria is deeply involved in her community. She currently serves on the planning committee for an event that happens every three years in New Bern. The event focuses on educating the public about the history of James City, a town founded in 1865 by formerly enslaved persons and named after the Reverend Horace James, Superintendent of Negro Affairs for the North Carolina District. She enjoys painting, particularly beach scenes, and finds it to be a relaxing creative outlet.
Tamaria enjoys helping others, particularly seniors, and values being a team player—qualities that make her a great fit for RHA’s supportive and mission-driven environment. She also dreams of traveling with her family on a cruise and continues to work toward her goal of creating a meaningful space for older adults in her community. She is passionate about service and making a positive impact in both her professional and personal life.
