Procurement Manager Mathieu Torres Joins RHA Finance!

Mathieu Torres

Finance Department
Procurement Manager

RHA is pleased to welcome our new Procurement Manager! Before joining RHA, Mathieu Torres held the position of Property Director at the YMCA, where he honed his skills in operational management and resource coordination. During this time, he led complex projects and built strong collaborative relationships, which laid a solid foundation for his current role.

With more than eight years of expertise in procurement, Mathieu has developed a deep proficiency in vendor management, cost optimization, and the efficient delivery of resources. His wealth of experience in these areas has made him a valuable asset to the team at RHA, where he is dedicated to implementing strategic procurement practices that will support the agency’s mission. His interest in contributing to a dynamic and impactful organization like RHA led him to join the team and bring his expertise in procurement.

Born in San Francisco, California, and raised in the greater Los Angeles area, Mathieu developed an appreciation for diverse communities and urban development. This background has shaped his professional outlook and approach to working in the public housing sector.

Outside of work, Mathieu is an avid lover of nature and enjoys exploring the beauty of North Carolina. Hiking through the state’s many scenic parks has provided him a way to unwind and recharge. Additionally, Mathieu has a personal goal to hike the entire North Carolina portion of the Appalachian Trail—a journey that reflects his passion for adventure and the outdoors.

A proud father of two, Mathieu’s daughters are a constant source of inspiration. One is pursuing early college at WTCC, while the other works as a lab manager at UNC. His accomplishments continue to drive Mathieu’s commitment to personal growth and professional success.

Welcome to RHA, Mathieu! We’re excited to have you on the team.
